Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae
After getting his B.A. in TEFL from Boğaziçi University in 1989, Dr. Erkunt completed his M.Ed. in TESOL at Boston University, in 1992. He received his Ed.D. in Educational Media and Technology, again from Boston University School of Education in 1998. He worked for the same school as an educational media specialist between 1992 and 1995 in addition to teaching an undergraduate course for two years, as well as being the webmaster, network administrator and computer consultant/troubleshooter of the school. His previous work experience before his graduate studies varies from editing and writing for a school journal to teaching English at various levels in state and private institutions, as well as volunteering for some research work for the Boğaziçi University Faculty of Education.Dr. Erkunt has been working as an instructor at Boğaziçi University Faculty of Education Department of Computer Education and Educational Technology since 1998. He is also the Director of Boğaziçi University Educational Technology Research and Application Center, and a member of the Boğaziçi University Journal of Education editorial board. His research interests are human-computer interaction, use of computers as cognitive tools, innovative technologies in education, distance education and technology enhanced instruction, and usability.
