Finlay McQuade has broad experience in a variety of schools in several countries. After working as a teacher and then a curriculum director in schools in the United States, he became a consultant to various school reform projects at a time when state governments and school districts were developing new methods of instruction and assessment to address high academic standards. His publications include teaching guides commissioned by the College Entrance Examination Board, a book about school improvement called How to Make a Better School, and a series of innovative assessments developed for the Modern Red Schoolhouse Institute. Before joining the Education Faculty, he was the academic coordinator and interim director at Enka Schools in Istanbul.
